The new NPal Student system will be open to students from 8 Oct 2013, 9am.

There will be no change in your User ID and Password.

Is "Important Email Verification" genuine?

It is important that we are vigilant whenever we are required to click on links in emails.

Recently, there was an email with the subject "Important Email Verification" that appeared to be from Microsoft Email Support on email accounts verification. A link "CLICK HERE" was provided for online verfication. Hovering over the link reveals a suspicious URL.

Advice:

• Before you click on a link in an email, always hover over the link to view the URL.
• Do not click on the link if it appears to be unfamiliar or suspicious.

Mobile Security

Two simple steps to reduce the risk of cyber threats on our mobile devices.

Do

• Disable WiFi and Bluetooth when you do not need to use them as attackers could access information on your mobile device through its enabled WiFi or Bluetooth connection.

• Password protect your mobile device to prevent unauthorised access to the data stored on your device.

Your personal data such as email address, Internet banking login and NRIC could be a form of your identity online. If your personal data is disclosed online, malicious users can easily harvest the information and misuse those information or masquerade as you.
