How to change your NPNet password?

Staff may change NPNet password directly at https://staffacct.np.edu.sg via VPN.

After each change of your NPNet password, it is important to refresh the local cached password on your PC/notebook.

Steps to Refresh Local Cached Password:

  1. After changing your NPNet password, lock your system using Ctrl-Alt-Del and select Lock This Computer.
  2. Re-login to your system using Ctrl-Alt-Del and key in your NEW NPNet password.

Please allow 15 minutes for the new password to take effect across the various services such as VPN, Web Mail, MeL.

The IDA Security Awareness Survey for FY11 showed that about 88% of NP staff are sufficiently aware of IT security.

The new IT Helpdesk @ Blk 27 #01-01 is open.

  Travel Tips on Data Security
  • After using a public computer at the airport/hotel, please take a minute to erase the history files, clear cache and cookie files.
  • Make sure your portable computer is protected with its own firewall and has the most updated anti-virus software and pattern file.
  • If you are connecting your computer to the hotel network, you should not be required to install any "special software". If in doubt, always check with the concierge.

Staff and students accessing MeL may encounter occasional interruption during the maintenance window.

Lotus Notes Email/Applications
Staff who access mail via Lotus Notes may experience occasional interruption during the maintenance period. Lotus Notes applications will be unavailable during the maintenance period.

 

NPal Maintenance

All NPal services for Staff and Students will be unavailable during maintenance on Sun, 2 Dec 2012 from 1 to 4pm for the application of security patches.
